The Bavarian Sea

This lake, home to "Frauenchiemsee" and "Herrenchiemsee" islands, is truly a feast for the eyes, a cultural highlight to any vacation, as well as a paradise for fans of aquatic sports.
The countryside surrounding the lake ranges from gentle hills and moorlands which are home to even more lakes, such as the Eggstätt-Hemhofer lake district, to forested ridges and the rugged rock faces of the Chiemgau Alps.
