Mozart Cycle Path
Topography
Route
Assuming you take the outermost ring, the Mozart Cycle Path is approx. 450 km in length.  There are, however, connecting routes between St. Lorenz and Köstendorf, Laufen and Kössen, as well as Bad Reichenhall and Salzburg, making it possible to shorten various stages along the path.
Elevation Change
Total elevation changes amount to approximately 2,000 vertical meters.  We recommend riding the Mozart Cycle Path in counterclockwise direction.  The route through the SalzburgerLand, as well as through neighboring Bavaria and a stage in Tyrol, is 90% along bike paths and low-traffic side roads, and is mostly on paved surfaces.
Planning Tips
You will need approx. 1 - 14 days to travel the entire length of the Mozart Cycle Path.  On average you will be traveling some 40 km per day.  Between Niederndorf and Salzburg, however, you should plan somewhat shorter stages, since you will encounter some uphill climbs.  This schedule will also allow you plenty of time for the numerous sights along the way.  The connecting paths also make it possible to abbreviate the tour if you wish.
