Tauern Cycle Path
Pinzgau Local Railway running again to Krimml

Major flooding partially destroyed this railway line. But now it has been rebuilt, including a 10 km stretch that is brand new.
In September 2010, the last section of the line was reopened. Cyclists can once again ride the train directly from Zell am See to Krimml, with bikes permitted on practically all of the trains.
Please note, however, that if you want to bring along your bike, you will need to call ahead, Tel. +43 (0)6562 40600.

Bus with bike transport to Krimml Waterfalls

Once you arrive at the railway station, you’re not quite there yet. As you make your way up through town to the start of the Tauern Cycle Path next to Krimml Waterfalls, you’ll still have about 3 kilometers and a vertical gain of 150 meters to overcome. But good news: Since May 2011, there’s now an additional shuttle service, also providing bike transport. They charge € 2.00 per bike. Once again, be sure to let them know ahead of time if you plan on bringing your bike along, Tel. +43 (0)6562 40600.
